It's a pity that the director's stubbornness and half-sentence method is not suitable for most domestic audiences, and everyone is blinded by the frankness and shallowness of domestic films. The two soldiers would rather go to court-martial than bring back Murphy's body, and deliberately concealed it, just respecting Murphy's wish to "disappear quietly".
