To Captain and Irana.
Captain told Irana that he has been floating for the past two years, and he really would like to live.
Irana is wondering what does he mean by "to live"? Is he serious about getting back together or rebound? Would it be better to just keep it strictly business? What is his expectation for the rebound They tried once, and it did not work for a reason. As smart as she is, she knows they are deeply different people. She likes to make plan and follow them, put on calender to manage her time. It seems captain are more spntaneous, which she likes a lot, however, the spontaneous could be really dangerous if there are too many unplanned trips together. Can they really solve this?
Captain likes his own time on Serenity, which bothers Irana a little as well. She just likes his presences, don't need to do stuff together, but he just want to be quiet. Irana also has high expectations for someone she would share life with. She likes to keep connected, a simple smile, a gentle touch, or a bear hug. Can they really solve this?
It is just too painful for her to be surround by him but could not get too close. So the story ends when she said she would like to leave.
