The killer is Norman

In the film, except for the doctor who was killed by mistake, everyone was killed by Norman. This should be the director's original intention, so as to make the statement of split personality more impactful. It's just that in the process of Norman's murder, various details have been interspersed. The director's intention here is to interrupt people's thinking and cause greater suspense.

The reason anyone else isn't the murderer (mostly the two old ladies) is simple, lack of motivation and inability to deal with bodies and vehicles.

Norman's biological mother and son have not seen each other for decades. There is no reason to kill, and the girl's mother would not kill to create an illusion to drive Norman crazy. This is too far-fetched. Everyone must understand that this is a murder case, and it would be too hasty to kill anyone with any motive. As for how Norman went out to kill while being shut down, that's the director's loophole. There are so many flaws in this movie!

It is not compared with the great first part, but it is by no means a continuation of the dog's tail. In fact, no matter how you analyze it, who is the murderer? Norman is the biggest winner. He escaped a series of attacks by the revenge mother and daughter unscathed, and easily sent all opponents and potential threats to the west. (Maybe he really didn't do it), pretending to be back to normal, successfully deceived the judge and the people around him, and finally killed his biological mother to make the old bloody hotel reopen. As for whether he has returned to normal, and whether his crazy behavior since then is really crazy or pretending to be crazy, the results he wants have been achieved, and if you think about it carefully, you will fall into the fear of questioning the truth around you.

There should be no "Bates Hotel" without this film. It is a very exciting sequel, which is different from Xi Pang's fun in playing with the plot, but focuses on digging out the inner world of the protagonist and showing a group portrait of human nature in a small town. It also creates a huge suspense point in reality and fantasy.
