Although Billy Bloom's mother cheated on him, after he learned the truth, he did not doubt himself, thinking it was a mistake, but continued to do him, and even participated in the homecoming queen election! This kind of courage and action is what I hope I can do. Flip will say words of admiration to Billy because he knows what kind of person Billy is.
High kick doesn't mean the world will give in. So the moment when Billy was beaten and Flip rescued him is something to remember because it opens up bright possibilities. Flip can gradually appreciate Billy, but he will still say: "Be a man." Their relationship is not ambiguous in the film, but just imagine, wouldn't Billy have a little affection for such a friend? I believe there is. In the second half, Flip's escape from Billy can actually be understood as a subconscious reaction. Feelings often come from admiration, and I sincerely hope they can be together.
Billy's drama play is quite amazing. An important reason for liking American and Japanese movies is that although they are false in a certain sense (such as exaggerated plots), the makeup of the characters will not cover up all the flaws of the actors, and it is real enough. It may not be understood, but I am who I am.
In addition, the film's implied political correctness feels strange, as if incompatible things are mixed together. There are only two people competing for Queen, which is not very real. The other characters are not full enough, and they seem to exist only for the plot.
Manual screenshots, not clear enough, (.・_・.)ノI'm sorry~
