just looking around

I didn't think of militarism at all when I watched it. I still have no concept of politics. After reading a lot of film reviews, I realized that the movie talks about a lot of political systems. I just watched it as a science fiction movie! So when I looked at it, I randomly pieced together some logic, thinking that the Zerg attacked humans first, and humans just fought back. After carefully recalling some details, it seems that this is not the case, and then I feel that the Zerg is very pitiful, and the insects are also life, and militarism is unacceptable. Otherwise, it doesn't matter if the politicians go to the battlefield themselves as cannon fodder.

Starship Troopers quotes

  • Sky Marshal Dienes: We must meet this threat with our courage, our valor, indeed with our very lives to ensure that human civilization, not insect, dominates this galaxy *now and always*!

  • Carl: We thought there might be a Brain Bug on 'P'.

Carmen: You knew and still you sent them?

Carl: We couldn't afford to launch an operation if there wasn't one.

[both Carmen and Johnny look at Carl with contempt]

Johnny Rico: Didn't they tell you, Colonel? That's what the Mobile Infantry is good for.
