This film inherits the usual style of Villeneuve's previous movies, with dim tones, depressive atmosphere, gloomy soundtrack, and the plot development is as slow as always, but it has improved compared to the previous movies. The title of the film is literally translated as "The Killer", and the translated name "Border Killer" captures what the director wants to express. On the border between the United States and Mexico, society is at the border of order and chaos, and the hearts of the people also wander between good and evil. The border between justice and evil has long been blurred.
