Every scene where lady bird fights with her mom gives me goosebumps all over. So much empathy that people can't tell the difference between reality and movies.

There is a scene where the mother and daughter are quarreling while picking dresses in the store. The two snarly accuse each other of being so distorted and absurd, but the next second they reach a consensus because they see a beautiful dress at the same time. . Every expression and action of theirs, the hoarse voice when they were angry, and the radiance of the beautiful dress, were all the same, so much that I doubted that this film was directed by me.

It seems that my mother and I are always in such a cycle of incompatibility, conflicts erupted at critical times, and we tried so hard that we questioned our blood relationship. But what often amazes me and myself is that there are so many late nights in different places where I will cry alone because I miss her and my dad.

At the end of the film, lady bird came to the dream metropolis as she wished and was alone. She dug out the crumpled pile of paper that her father had secretly stuffed in the suitcase. It was a letter her mother had written and written before her departure, but could not be finalized and handed to her in any case. It says I love you. lady bird called home and left a voice message, she said that this message was specially given to you by mother, thank you, I love you too.

Yesterday, I made a video with my family. I said that I have booked a flight ticket. Do you want to bring anything at the duty-free shop? My mother said no, and my father and I will pick you up. Her tone was full of love, and she didn't remember the unpleasantness of the last parting at all.

Love Before Dawn Celine said that if there is any miracle in this world, it must be in the attempt to understand someone and share the joys and sorrows with them. It's almost impossible to succeed, and probably no one really cares, but the answer must be in the attempt.

Love is a contradiction.

  • Larry McPherson: Hey, I'm like Keith Richards. I'm just happy to be anywhere.

  • Diana Greenway: I heard that before he became a priest, he was married, and had a son named Etienne, who died at 17 of a drug overdose, which maybe was a suicide. But my mom says same difference, if you're that careless with your life.
