The ordinary life is the most beautiful.

When the film progresses to the second half of the story, the hero and heroine enter their middle-aged lives. At that time, their life was not as wasteful and rich as the first half of their lives. Instead, I was awestruck by the mediocre life. There were tears in my eyes several times. This kind of warm picture can move me very much. Life is really too short, so we must do what we want to do while we are young, and don't wait until the end of our lives to lament that the time when we were young is too short. where did it go. Compared to our children, our wives/husbands are the ones who can always accompany us. The protagonists of the story all passed away in the same year. I think this is their greatest happiness. Life is long and it is a beautiful thing to have a lover to accompany you!

Raymond Briggs: [voice over] There was nothing extraordinary about my Mum and Dad, nothing dramatic, no divorce or anything, but they were my parents and I wanted to remember them by doing a picture book.
