(I just want to comment briefly, unfortunately the word limit is limited)
"Darkest Hour" is hard not to remind me of another World War II movie "The Destruction of the Empire", which tells about Churchill's worst 18 days and Hitler's worst 12 days. sky. Both films are based on the new female secretary, and there are also many female secretaries as bystanders. Under the same big historical framework, it is also the life node of the big man behind the war. Watching these two films together is like seeing Churchill and Hitler sitting on both ends of the historical seesaw. When you are at a low point, I am invincible, and when I ride the wind, you go down into the bunker and taste the end of the day. We often say that when life gets to the worst, you have to bite the bullet and wait, because it will bottom out. This sentence worked for Churchill, but not for Hitler. It can only be said that these two men are all remembered by history, but, in a different way...both movies are wonderful for the shaping of the two characters, I like both~

Darkest Hour quotes

  • King George VI: [to Churchill] I confess I had some reservations about you at first. But while some in this country dreaded your appointment, none dreaded it like Adolf Hitler. Whoever can strike fear into that brute's heart is worthy of all our trust.

  • Winston Churchill: D'you know, I've never ridden a bus? I've never queued for bread. I believe I can boil an egg... but only because I've seen it done. The only time I tried riding the Underground was during the General Strike. Clemmie dropped me off at South Kensington station. I went down but got lost. I came straight back up! It was awful.
