The film tells the story of a transgender boy Ricky and a young Robbie living in a quiet town. At this time, an engaged girl broke into their lives, and they fell in love with each other. When the girl's fiancé returned, Ricky chose to quit. While she was sad about this relationship, the little Robbie opened up to him and told him a secret for many years, that is, he had been secretly in love with Ricky since he was a child, so this suffering lover finally became a family.

A highlight of the film's appearance Saber Dingfield.

The pacing of the movie is not very good, and the emotional scene between Ricky and the engaged girl is too much. The two of them account for 80% of the scenes, while poor Robbie only accounts for two. I think six-four, five-five are better. In the end, I thought the two girls were going to run away, and in the end, I sent a small rescue to save the ending of the movie.

The problem is that the two girls have too many emotional scenes, and Robbie and Ricky have not been brewed enough in front of them, so Robbie has no sense of existence and is marginalized. In this way, Robbie's sudden confession is a bit abrupt, and Robbie's crush on Ricky did not show in the film, which is the worst and most regrettable. The second female and her fiancé in the back are awkward. Robbie and Ricky suddenly fell in love too hastily. However, the main tone of the film is warmth, healing, family fun, and light comedy. A low-budget movie is just a lot of fun, so you can't ask for these details. (Without discussing the issue of transgender people being excluded and discriminated against by society, this film tells us that everyone has the right to love and be loved, no matter what he looks like.)

However, after Ricky broke up with the girl, Robbie ranted about the problems between them at his house, and he thought he would commit suicide, and he looked for him everywhere in a hurry. It was very touching. You can see that Robbie buried in his heart. Emotion finally erupted. The actor who played Ricky turned out to be really transgender, so much so that Robbie yelled at her that you are neither a boy nor a girl. She said it's okay and I'm used to it. It turned out that she was really acting in her true colors, and I felt her inner loss and despair. To be honest, I prefer Robbie and Ricky's childhood sweetheart sideline.

If this film takes the serious film route, I think the director will have more room to evaporate, and the theme will be more intense. Light comedy can only be pure entertainment, the connotation is a little worse, and the theme is not clear.

Robbie said to Ricky that I'm lucky I'm in love with someone who happens to be my best friend. Suddenly remembered the lyrics of a song by Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat: lucky I' m in love with my best friend, Lucky to have been where I have been It's everything I've been through.

Ricky: We girls always have to do the rescuing, regardless of the how it looks but, that's a lesson for another day.

  • Ricky: Maybe if one thing leads to another...

    Robby: Yeah.

Ricky: What's it like? I mean, like, okay, so... what would you, um... what-what would I... well, uh... what's one supposed to do?
