When I first saw the new SWAT judge, I was deeply impressed by the pictures in it. The wonderful street shootout and the textbook-style trial were simply too stylish. It's just that the sound was broken at that time, and it was silent for more than an hour. Now that I put on my headphones, I have to say that this movie is really good.
The background of the story is very simple, a few scenes and a few sentences can be summed up. The environment is deteriorating, social unrest, and crime is frequent, and the story unfolds against this background. At first, the character Derdd was simply introduced in a small case, and then the heroine was brought on the stage directly at the request of the officer, which was very clean and neat. And the big Boss, Mama, who directly explained the whole story, has a very strong purpose. No speculation or unexpected, straight to the point - trial mama.
Then came the battle on the floor. Accurately analyze and draw a standard plan, make due notice before the trial, and judge when the trial is due, without any slack. Compared with the stories of the same type of veterans leading new recruits, the recruits are either hypocritical, dare not or simply like to kill. In contrast, "New" is very simple - trial. Compared with the current standard equipment, the firearms are not so high-tech. At most, voice operation and DNA recognition are added to make the battle more realistic.
Next are drugs. The story of "New" was born because of drugs, and many stunning visual effects also appeared because of drugs. Taking a sip of drugs and throwing them downstairs may seem like a bland approach, but it's actually cruel. Watching myself fall down 200 floors in slow motion is already terrifying. What is even more terrifying is that the instant death process and feeling of death after falling downstairs are also experienced at 1% speed, and its cruelty is comparable to Ling Chi and Pao Yao . Many slow-motion shots are also shown from the first and third perspectives after inhaling drugs. The pictures are amazing and the effect is very scientific.
Lastly is the sound. The fast-paced electronic music reminds me of "Tron", and like "New", it increases the excitement and refreshment during battle. Especially when mama swept the floor, Dredd's back in the smoke coupled with the domineering side-leak music, couldn't be more stylish. In addition, Dredd's voice is very magnetic, and seeing the chin full of beards can make up the uncle's face under the helmet. The sound is clear throughout the movie, and the different voices don't mix badly.
I would rate this film as good, very clean and well organized. It can be seen very simply that the director just wanted to make this story out without too much connotation. In order to increase the depth of the work, some directors or playwrights deliberately add a grand background and complex character relationships, but in the end, they shoot themselves in the foot. And clean stories can be excavated from interesting things. To be honest, I can't understand such a low rating for this movie. When we see the movie, we see not only the movie, but also the characteristics and heart of the director and author, and the directing style of this movie is simple. I can't help but think of a classic example. When Cao Wenxuan was doing the reading questions for his own article, he said that he didn't think so much about emotions at first, but just wanted to write it. As for the counter-example... Just look at a certain Bitman's "Jazz Track", but I'll go into details.
