Indio (played by Gian Maria Volonté) is a ferocious and wanted criminal. He and his gang commit crimes repeatedly. He has a pocket watch. A photo of a woman. Bounty hunter Manco (Clint Eastwood) is hunting Indio, and another bounty hunter Colonel Douglas Mortimer (Lee Van Cleef) is also hunting the same target. Both of them disliked each other at first, and later decided to hunt down Indio together. The two learned that Indio was going to rob a bank, so they decided to let Mortimer join Indio's team, and then cooperate with Manco. Later, the two were accidentally caught by Indio. Can Manco and Mortimer get rid of Indio, and what is the connection between the woman in Indio's pocket watch and Mortimer?
