The cross montage and double exposure in this film are very slippery, but the cross montage is used too frequently. Almost all the pre-set bridges of the suspense are parallel plots at both ends, and the method is a bit single. So on the one hand it is good, on the other hand it is very bad;
as a horror film/thriller, it has a very good level of suspense setting. If it is an original sci-fi space horror film like "Deep Space Amnesia", it will be very good. Evaluation, but unfortunately, this is a sequel to the "Alien" series, and it can only be said to be a product of a dog-tailed sequel.
In general, the screenwriter is very weak, and the director has done his best: the
film starts around a completely disorganized beginning - "Alien 2" has an extra-shaped egg in the escape pod. I've read countless posts discussing this opening question, and here's a summary:
First, it's suspiciously certain that this setting is indeed unreasonable and redundant. It completely ruined the aesthetic of Alien 2.
Then I analyze it in detail: Viewpoint 1: Many people say that "Alien 2" has already set the bishop to steal eggs. The documentary mentions etc. But I think that what is not presented in the movie, I will say that it does not exist - not many people will die after watching each movie and watch various documentaries and various materials, and make it as clear as possible. This is the crew basic tasks.
What's more, if the bishop really took it, why didn't Ripley directly arrange for Ripley to discover the bishop's secret when he connected the black box to the bishop in "Alien 3"? It is far-fetched to say that this is deliberately left blank, because the premise of leaving blank is that everyone knows something and does not need to repeat it, rather than deliberately suppressing things that everyone does not know at all.
Viewpoint 2: "Alien 2" The eggs secretly laid by the alien queen. This view is particularly ridiculous, for two reasons: First, the alien queen relies on the entire incubator to lay eggs. Since the queen has been separated from the incubator, it is impossible to lay eggs again. Otherwise, "Alien 2" is so pompous to get a thing connected to the uterus for what? The two, you have seen carefully, the eggs of "Alien 3" are laid by the freezer, and the active position of the Alien Queen is the apron. How could it be possible to go inside the battleship to lay eggs? ? ?
Not only that, but first of all, the setting of the Alien Queen Egg itself is stupid. If I only read 1 and 2, I can feel that the alien queen should be mutated from ordinary aliens - in 1, the aliens do not kill humans but instinctively harvest humans as food for new eggs, so very It's possible that the xenos evolved to reproduce after taking over the place, and xenos themselves are hermaphrodites. This inference is actually much smarter and more concise than the setting of "Alien Queen's Egg".
Even more ridiculous is that not only did the cryopod have xenomorph eggs, but two - one parasitized Ripley and one hatched into a dog xenomorph (and in fact this only hatched after the rescue pod was dropped by the prison seaside) , because the facehugger carcass was found with the dead cow). So why didn't this dog alien go to the freezer to find a host? ? ?
So in general, "Alien 3" is completely forcibly concave the story for the sake of innovation, and in the end, the concave completely deviated from the discussion of the metaphor of the alien, and turned into a pure horror movie.
However, with so many complaints, it's really okay for me to give two stars, right?
However, the wonderful performances of the two characters, the medical officer and the black fat, made it impossible for me to think that the movie was bad, so I had no choice but to give a good or bad score.
It's a fun space horror movie,
but it's by no means a good Alien movie.
