Subtle and full of tension

Lee Chandler was a taciturn man, doing endless chores in Boston. But that seems to be just an excuse for him to escape the past and hide his grief, and even when the news of his beloved older brother Joe's passing of a heart attack doesn't add more grief to his stern face. After returning to his hometown of Manchester, which he had abandoned for many years, he found himself named guardian of his nephew Patrick. Lee Chandler is reluctant to move back to his hometown with too many memories, and his nephew Patrick is reluctant to abandon his life and friends and go with Li Yuan.

This film is a work of documentary style, and the story itself and the performance of the actors have enough tension in themselves. In some of the most intense moments of emotional release, we can feel more real from the atmosphere and performance. Such a story, of course, cannot make the audience relax, but it has another "releasing" effect, which makes us cherish the happiness in front of us more.
