moonlight

A very peaceful, down-to-earth and moving emotional film. The rich soundtrack, a lot of blank space, and the impeccable performances of the three protagonists perfectly express the delicate and contradictory hearts of the characters, so that any increase or decrease is superfluous. "Moonlight" was without a doubt the best emotional film of 2016, if not the best of its kind in years. Good same-sex movies are rare these days, which made me involuntarily compare "Moonlight" with "Carroll" or even earlier "Brokeback Mountain" when watching the movie. "Moonlight" has less complicated plots than the other two, and puts more attention on the expression of the characters' hearts. This is a movie that centers on characters rather than plot. Simple and plain narration, calm expression, but all thoughts are kept silent behind the scenes. It is for this reason that "Moonlight" touched me more from the bottom of my heart than "Brokeback Mountain". Civilian epic? No, it's not some kind of civilian epic, because Moonlight doesn't want to tell a story at all, it doesn't want to put any social identity on the characters and make a plot out of it. What is Chiron's identity? student? Drug dealer? Gang member? None of this matters, none of this is Chiron himself. Chiron will always be that pure heart, like the moonlight at night, fragile and delicate. "Moonlight" teaches us to read feelings, and put the identity of the characters aside, "Moonlight" shows us how love transcends all trivial matters. That's why the structure of the film is three paragraphs like this, with all the blank spaces in between. The blank parts do not need to be shown to the audience, or even intended for the audience to understand by themselves. What "Moonlight" wants to do is just to let us see those touching moments in our lives, those moments that we will remember for a lifetime, it is these moments that come true It defines who each of us is, rather than any staged, labelled social life and social identity.

The first black literary and fresh X film in life, one-star commemoration. It is rare to see such a movie. No matter the plot or the dialogue, no one second is tolerable. The hypocritical goose bumps all over the body. It must be one of my ten differences of the year.

The most valuable thing is his "general". You thought it was boring political correctness, but in the end he was not radical at all, even weak, gentle and peaceful, restoring the essence of mortals under the shell of black people, homosexuality, poverty, violence, and drugs. It is said that "Moonlight Boy" is the skin-color version of "Brokeback Mountain", because "Brokeback Mountain" gives people the enlightenment of "no sex is just love", and "Moonlight Boy" has the same effect.
