2017.08.04 First look, 30th Anniversary Edition, 2-disc Blu-ray Edition.
When I look at it today, it is the 40th anniversary, and it feels weird to see the 30th anniversary commemorative edition. . .

From today's point of view, I feel that the plot is so dull, the aliens are so ugly, and the colorful spaceships are so ugly, I almost thought they were traveling to Earth singing "the most dazzling ethnic style". . .

I just finished watching the latest "Alien: Contract", and I saw that the spaceship is still the 2014 version. . . What's more speechless is that we humans made it ourselves. . .
If the aliens in this film can see that spaceship, would they be too embarrassed to go out, or come to earth to sing "the most dazzling national style"? . .

Americans in the 1970s were so boring, they made a fuss when they saw a UFO. . . You must know that the American people at that time could eat cocaine as a snack. . . What kind of shit I've never seen. . .

The most ridiculous thing is that the governments of various countries are still covering up the information of aliens, which is simply stealing and laughing. It seems that the whole world will perish immediately after the release of aliens. . . Please, what a fucking age. . .

Personal evaluation: 8.0/10 points. . . From the perspective of 1977, it is still good. . .

————————————————————

Speaking of the three versions of the film, the theatrical version, the special version and the director's cut version, we can't help but talk about the birth relationship of the different versions.
Shooting "Encounters of the Third Kind" was Spielberg's childhood dream, but no company at the time was willing to invest in such a film.

When 1975's "Jaws" shocked the world, Spielberg finally got the chance to realize this dream, but the troubles from the studio still did not end.
In 1977, Colombia was in the throes of bankruptcy, and if "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" didn't address their immediate needs, the company could go completely bankrupt.
As a result, Spielberg was forced to finish the film ahead of schedule under heavy pressure.
Still, even though the film's editing and special effects were flawed by a lack of time and money, and even with Columbia's poor marketing strategy for a small premiere, Spielberg's ingenious shooting skills still earned the film unprecedented acclaim.

It is precisely because of the film's blockbuster performance that Spielberg finally got the opportunity to re-produce the special edition of "Encounters of the Third Kind" three years later, and he could finally take the opportunity to make up for those who did not have the money and time back then. Completed scene.
But it comes at the cost of having to include something at the end that the Columbia marketing section thinks will appeal to audiences—the interior of a spaceship.

For Spielberg, this was supposed to be a picture that existed in the imagination of audiences all over the world, but in order to get funding for the special edition, he could only reluctantly agree to this request.
So, when Spielberg had another chance in 1998 to make the most definitive director's cut, the first thing he did was cut out the special-edition footage of the interior of the spaceship, which, in his own words, was It's something that shouldn't exist in the first place.

For disc fans, the 1977 original theatrical release was the most requested version, as it was the first time it appeared in the home entertainment medium.
The 1998 definitive edition is the version most faithful to Spielberg's shooting philosophy, and friends who have not seen the film can choose this version to watch, while the 1980 special edition contains a controversial interior scene of the spacecraft, although It doesn't make much sense, but it can also be used as a tidbit to watch.

30th Anniversary Edition, 2-disc Blu-ray. Watching order: Watch the
Director's Cut first, then watch the last section of the special edition, and enter the interior of the ship. The theater's original Oricinal version can be watched or not. . .

I was bored B, I fell asleep twice and finally finished watching it -- if I finished watching the boring film, I felt a sense of accomplishment over myself, which means that this boring film is a literary film, and this is Mr. Spielberg's literary film.

Why is the rating so low? Compared with Star Wars, which is a cosmic war that is equivalent to a rural fight, this early sci-fi film can be said to be the pinnacle of the visual expression of agnosticism.
