Say goodbye to the past and reconcile with suffering

Due to the particularity of the story and the consideration of the completeness of the story, the film "Room" clearly presents two different styles in narrative and photography: the first half is thrilling and suspenseful, and the second half is tender and healing. This change in style has indeed caused a certain gap in the viewing experience, but this does not prevent it from becoming a surprise in independent productions, and it will also be extremely in the upcoming 88th Oscars season. It is possible to win the Best Actress Award.
The movie "The Room" tells a story about being imprisoned and returning to life. "Room" in the movie refers to a small shed with skylights. It means "cage" and also symbolizes "another world." What is trapped in the cage is only the body, while the soul survives in another world created by itself. The director told us a cruel and warm story through the perspective of a child. It not only has the suspenseful atmosphere and the bridge of wits that ordinary secret room movies should have, but also the touching affection between mother and child and thinking about understanding the world, saying goodbye to the past, and returning to the family.
I have to mention the performance of the two protagonists in this film. The little boy Jack is played by a ten-year-old actor Jacob Trebre from Canada. He also performed in "The Smurfs 2." In this film, his long hair styling makes him look like a little girl, which is very cute. Of course, his performance in this film is also very pure. The control of facial expressions and psychological drama is natural and smooth, and there is no trace of performance. The scene of rolling out the blanket and looking at the sky is amazing enough.
In addition, playing the role of mother is an actress from the United States, Brie Larson, who was born in 1989 and is not only an actor but also a singer. I first met her in the work "The Gambler", which she collaborated with Mark Wahlberg (I personally like this movie very much). In the movie "The Room", compared to the amazing sense of the younger boy, her performance is more sophisticated, especially the interpretation of the pain in the past, the struggle now, and her love for her son.
At the end of the film, the little boy who returned to his family and social life with the help of his family, friends and doctors asked his mother to go back to see the small shack that had previously imprisoned them, which undoubtedly made the film go to the ultimate thinking. When the little boy scanned the already strange room and said goodbye to potted plants, chairs, tables, wardrobes, sinks, skylights and rooms one by one, it meant that he had made the most thorough farewell to his past. And the mother who always accompany him never to leave also reached her final relief and reconciliation of the difficulties she suffered in the past while saying goodbye to the room silently. In the last shot of the film, looking at the backs of the mother and son walking away, what awaits them is definitely a new life!

  • Ma: I'm sorry Jack.

Jack: It's okay. Don't do it again.

    Ma: I promise

    Jack: Are you better now?

Ma: Yeah, I'm starting to be. Hey, Jack?

    Jack: Yeah?

Ma: When Grandma brought this to me

[Shows Jack the trimmings of his hair]

Ma: I knew that I could get better. You saved me... Again.

  • Jack: Eggsnake's our longest friend and fanciest. Meltedy spoon's the best to eat with because he's more blobbier. Labyrinth is the twistiest and she hides things so I don't know where they are. Toilet's the best at disappearing poo. Lamp's the brightest, except when the power's cut. You're the best at reading and songs and lots, except if you're having a gone day. I'm the best at drawing, and jumping, and growing, and nearly everything!
