Regarding this sister film of Chongqing Forest, I think it is not as untitled as Chongqing Forest but not as good as Shigemori. Maybe Faye Wong's casual performance is special, so the three actresses in this film also have a lot of Shigemori's easter eggs. The description of the story began to be more obsessed with lovelorn but only in the sadness of lovelorn. This is the difference between Shigemori and it also depends on personal preference. However, I personally think that the layers of Shigemori are richer and more varied, but for the same style, the next Blueberry Night and Spring Break should be Wong Kar-wai's splendid period to continue this style.
I still like the tone of Chongqing Forest the most. I once saw a female classmate go crazy at Takeshi Kaneshiro—about when Chibi was just released, I didn’t think so much at the time, probably because I hadn’t seen the films he made when he was younger. It's not that I like him young, but I like his temperament when he was young is better than now.
