In 1967, Chris Taylor, a young college student, went to serve in Vietnam. The sacrifice of his comrades in the first war horrified him. The bloodthirsty Sergeant Barnes and the humane Elias in his field platoon were friends, but they turned against each other because of their different opinions. In the face of these two factions, Taylor has no idea what to do. Barnes took the opportunity to kill Elias in a battle. After several months of life on the battlefield, Taylor accepted Barnes's point of view and learned to kill. Finally, he also took advantage of the chaos of the battle to kill Barnes. [
