The first 30 minutes didn't make sense. Perhaps the director's magical realism was too strong. Although he heard the word "fantasy" in the title of the film, he did not expect such a film.
Excessive content design, with some blood, which I did not expect. Hands cut by broken clocks, ears sewn up, eyeballs pecked out, charred people, fried sheep and more. These bold images caused the audience to exclaim. Reminds me of the most classic cut eyeball in the so-called first surreal work "An Andalusian Dog".
After explaining the relationship between the characters, the elopement of the male and female protagonists began. The rhythm is very fast, mixed with various surreal rescues (the help of various animals, anti-gravity, etc.) to the climax on the ground radar. The sheep all over the mountains were blown away, the soldiers finally caught up with the two, and the snake tried to save the heroine. I thought that after killing the soldier, the lover would be married, but I never thought that the heroine was also killed by the bomb.
But my favorite is the last part. The male protagonist silently mourns her day after day in his own way and lives for her. I was moved by this deep feeling.
At the same time, I also think that the film also has a certain idea of caring for animals.
The above is for my own record only.
