"Seven Samurai" is the most important work in the history of Japanese film, and was selected as the first best work in history by "Movies". Kurosawa made the shooting scenes very exciting and lifelike. The fierce battles of horses rushing and fighting in the mud. With the use of fast editing, long focal length reporting and slow motion, all the images are condensed into one, exciting and not only changing. In addition to the tradition of Japanese martial arts films, it has also had a profound impact on many martial arts films.

The film can be said to be the first period drama of the famous Japanese director Akira Kurosawa to truly add the interest of Western films. It describes the story of the Japanese in the Warring States Period, the poor villagers defending their homes and joining forces with seven hired samurai to fight off robbers. Although director Kurosawa Akira intends to make this film into a thorough entertainment action film, in fact, the whole work still fully reveals Kurosawa Akira's humane spirit.
