Reflections and reflections after watching

Some movies, the first time you watch them, feel flat and lackluster. After reading it, I think about it, the original meaning is so deep! "On the Other Side of Life" is one such film. When I first watched it, I didn't pay much attention and almost fell asleep. Afterwards, I unintentionally checked some information, and I couldn't help crying in my heart, "This film is god!" The director is Turkish-German director Fatih Akin. He is already well-known among the younger generation of European directors. He has won the Golden Bear in Berlin, the Palme d'Or in Cannes, and was twice nominated for the Golden Lion in Venice. Not long ago, "Chick" tells the story of two teenagers who steal a car and travel alone. Crazy, cool, and enviable. This rebellious spirit of wanting to break free and seek freedom has always been the soul of Fatih Akin's works. Of course, since the pursuit of freedom, irony and criticism are inevitable. In "On the Other Side of Life", these souls also exist. He was nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 60th Cannes Film Festival, and finally lost to Romanian director Mongi's "April Three Weeks Two Days". But Cannes gave the best screenwriter to "On the Other Side of Life", which is not too regrettable. The film uses three narratives, each with its own emphasis, but still talking about the same thing. Naiyat and his father were originally Turks and now immigrated to Germany, and both of them are trying to adjust to life in Germany. Naiyat teaches at the university. His father lost his wife at an early age, and now he is old with desires that have nowhere to solve and loneliness that has nowhere to go. Went to a prostitute and met Yate. Later, he proposed to spend a certain amount of money every month to support Yeat, Yeat agreed. On the day Yett moved in, the old man probably fell into the hospital because he was too excited. During his hospital stay, Naiyat learned that all the money Yeate earned as a young lady was sent to his daughter in Turkey. This changed Naiyat's prejudice against Yeat, and acquiesced in her cohabitation with her father. Who would have thought that after being discharged from the hospital, the old man was suspicious and asked his son, "Have you ever had sex with her?" and then asked Yate the same question. After getting drunk, he asked Yate to perform sexual services on her, and said, "You belong to me!" Unbearable Yate got up to pack his luggage, was slapped by the old man, hit the table and chair, and died. The first paragraph ended with the old man going to prison. With resentment against her father, Naiyat is determined to go to Turkey to find Yeat's daughter, Aitan. The purpose is to help his father make up for Yate's only relative. When he arrived in Turkey, instead of finding Aytan, he settled down and bought a bookstore. In fact, Aitán was in Germany at this time. She has become a political activist and is wanted by the government because of her dissatisfaction with the unfair treatment of Turkey in Europe. during the escape , she absconded to Germany and met the German girl Lotta. The two gradually fell in love. Aytan was later caught by the police and deported to Turkey, where he went to prison. In order to rescue Aytan, Tallo also came to Turkey. At this point, Niyat, Aytan, and Tallo were finally in Turkey. Obviously, their next meeting and rescue will not be too smooth. Because, this is in Turkey. Religious beliefs are deeply ingrained, and they are threatened if they are not followed. Children on the street will sell things around you, and run away without you noticing and grabbing your bags. This is no wonder the people, the whole society has great problems. The reason why Aytan became a political activist is that girls can enjoy the same right to education. But Yett became a prostitute because her husband died on the battlefield in Iraq. The legacy of the war has seriously affected the country. There is also a very ironic scene in the film. The German was shot to death in the street, and the police came to investigate the situation, which showed that this was an international case and had to be taken seriously. The implication is that you will not be better off if you make me lose face in such a big case. Naiyat was originally a Turk, and after immigrating to Germany, he was cautious only to integrate into German life. Although his father was equally cautious, he immediately felt a sense of superiority when he learned that Yeat was a Turk. While brutally revealing the truth of life, "love" has always been the core. Now when we speak of love, we think of the chicken soup that calls out love in the center of the world. But in real life, many problems are solved by love. His father accidentally killed someone, and Naiyat decided to never forgive him again. Tallo came to Turkey alone despite her mother's obstruction, and her mother said that she would never be left alone. A deadlock like this can only be resolved by love. Not to mention Yate giving all the money he earned as a prostitute to his daughter. These are the loves that everyone has in their hearts. It is only when these loves come together that human beings have the most powerful strength. Because her husband died on the battlefield in Iraq. The film has been consciously or unintentionally alluding to the refugee issue. In the final analysis, the inability to solve the refugee problem is not due to human selfishness. In this way, the film promotes love, in fact, it has no deep meaning.
