When I first saw the title of this movie, I felt that it must be a spy movie and an action movie again, but after watching this movie, I felt the quiet and indifferent nature of the eavesdropper—Weissler. It was really penetrating. This is not a storm of eavesdropping, but a mental journey of eavesdropping on the soul!
Here, let’s briefly introduce the film: The story takes place in East Germany in 1984. At that time, East Germany under socialism was firmly controlled by the high-pressure policy of the National Security Agency. The strategy of “prosperity, those who rebel against me perish” has also extended its political skills to the field of artists, and many artists have “suicided”. This makes me think of our "Cultural Revolution", social darkness, political corruption, absolutely no freedom of speech, high slogans, and fanaticism. As the secret police, Wesler was ordered to monitor all the actions of the artist Deleman. Deleman is a very talented writer. He and his wife lead a normal life. It is this peaceful, yet "revolutionary" and anti-Party life that has completely changed the eavesdropper's worldview, outlook on life, and values. He changed himself and chose to protect this writer.
As an excellent film work, the ideological connotation to be expressed in this film is many, many, but I only want to say two points of my observations:
1. The protector’s tragic
and vigorous Wisler, when he decided to protect Deleman , I seem to see the tragic ending. When the security staff searched Deleman's house, maybe all of us were nervous, but I was thinking of Wesler and sweating for him. Searching Dleman's house means that Wesler has been exposed! Deleman is really a happy child. He never knew that someone was listening to him at all times, and what he would never have imagined was that the person who listened to him not only moved his compassion, but also willingly acted as his. The patron saint, always protecting him in secret, even when his wife Siran chose to betray him, Wesler, this unrelated stranger, hid his typewriter regardless of personal safety!
Nowadays, there are many film and television works where the killer and the assassinated know each other, and our eavesdropper undoubtedly betrayed his original intention. But the only difference is that the two have never met from start to finish, and they are unilaterally protected and protected. Li Bai's "Gift to Wang Lun" wrote "Peach Blossom Pool is a thousand feet deep, not as deep as Wang Lun's sentiment to me." Some people ridiculed, this poem translated into a modern text is "good friends, a lifetime!" Ha! When Deleiman was fighting for a free system, Weisler silently escorted him in this way!
2. The concept of "good people"
What kind of people are good people? For the first time in the film, it was Sealand who called Wesler a good person. As a protector, Wesler not only protects Deleman, he also protects his wife Sealand, let Sealand be himself, so Sealand calls him a good man! The original Wesler was cold and serious, but the cold heart melted during the eavesdropping process and turned into a thousand lines of tears. I can't forget the ending part. When Deleman learned that there was an unknown patron saint around him protecting himself, he finally found Weisler and saw the dull, slightly hunched, strange and familiar "him". , He is so ordinary, the only difference is that in the harsh years of looking back, he has always maintained a conscience, the great conscience of an ordinary little person! Deleman did not express his gratitude face to face. At this moment, no matter how much "thank you" he said, it would only appear hypocritical. As a result, Deleman, who had been holding the pen for many years, brought up the pen again and wrote "Mata for a Good Man" for the guardian. In this way, I thank Wesler for everything he has done for himself and his wife. "Would you like to wrap it up as a gift?" "No, this is for me." Heh! This is for me, this is for me! What a pun! Everything before is worth it! Seeing this, there is an indescribable emotion surging in my chest cavity. At this moment, only tears can express the trembling and moving of the soul at this moment.
Geodreman is the person who ends up best in the play, and is also the best person to be protected. I personally dislike him the most. I feel that there is a lack of blood in his body. When he learned that Krista was threatened, he only asked her not to go, but he had no actual actions or words to reassure his girlfriend. He also appeared to be too optimistic about the issue of publications, and he did not have the slightest doubt about the smooth completion of the matter. And was known by his girlfriend, did not protect his girlfriend. After the sudden disappearance of his girlfriend, the secret police came to search the room, which failed to attract his attention. He relied on his enthusiasm to carry out the anti-government cause, but he did not realize that he paid a huge price for the people around him. At the end of the film, he wrote a book to Captain Wessler, which many people felt was unfair. He gained fame and wealth and Captain Wessler, who helped him obtain these, ruined his life, and he just wrote a book to him. But I don't think so, I think it is the most reasonable to do so. First of all, Geodreman is a writer, so he expresses his gratitude in words, and secondly, he did not find Captain Wessler to thank him in person because so many years have passed, and the status of many people has changed. He He is still a well-known playwright while the other has become an ordinary postman. The reason for not meeting is to prevent each other from being embarrassed about their status and status when communicating. Finally, I expressed my gratitude in the form of a book to let more people know that there was such a person who helped him, and conveyed his gratitude to Captain Weissler.
Captain Sler is the most moving person in the play. It's just that at the beginning of the film, he is created as a professor who has no emotion in the face of criminals. I was particularly impressed by the scenes of censoring prisoners in the play. The method of censorship that does not allow the criminals to rest, breaks through the criminals’ psychological defenses step by step, and eventually collapses will make people feel very inhumane. Captain Wessler has been engaged in this work all year round, but because Geodreman has changed his political stance, it is a bit unbelievable. This reminds me of a movie called "This Assassin Isn't Too Cold" where countless assassins were moved by the little girl who killed countless people, and eventually died for the little girl. You may not need any reason, even a single sentence or one thing can change a person’s mind. Captain Wessler has helped Geodreman and his girlfriend many times in the play. He is rigorous and calm. This may be related to his occupation. Why do you want to help Geodreman? Probably because he saw the government's corruption, sympathy and appreciation for Oudreman and his girlfriend. From the beginning of concealing their true situation to persuading Krista to leave Hamp, until finally helping Geodreman destroy the evidence. While doing all this, his heart was also full of struggle. He wanted to report the publication that Geodreman wanted to publish to his superiors, but he hesitated when he heard the reports on the persecution of artists appointed. In the end, the report was not submitted. This shows that Captain Wessler is a wise man with his own ideas. In the end, he was assigned to the grassroots level to open the envelope, but he did not complain or regret it. His indifferent attitude reflected his character of taking responsibility and doing what was right. After the merger of the East and the West, he became a postman, doing his own thing silently in the only remember post. Finally, at the moment when he got the book that Geodreman wrote to himself, he could proudly tell the salesperson that it was a book for me. It shows that he has never regretted his choice, and is pleased with it.
Finally, I would like to mention again the relationship between Wisler and Dreman. They are strangers in reality, but in the depths of their souls they secretly regard each other as true confidants and eternal friends. ! When the melody of "Sonata for Good People" sounded again, the light piano sound, the uniqueness of the soul, and the holy light of humanity illuminate the world. I have always believed in the existence of good people, and finally bless all the good people in the world once again, and the good people will live a safe life!
