Esther was helpless and proud, and Paul didn't know what to do. When they were young, most people didn't know how life would unfold and what kind of life they wanted to live. It often takes decades before people realize they have screwed up their lives in middle age. Therefore, the end of the film is the finishing touch. Paul is not angry with his friends, but anger at himself, for so many years of unprovoked grievances, and needs a fulcrum to vent. Cut into reality through this paragraph, and make a conclusion to the three stories of youth, falling from the light sky to the ground.
- Plato: How should we live?
- Socrates: To live philosophically, to live in the here and now, based on the world to come.
