The protagonist's life is a legend. If only from the perspective of a country child becoming a great writer through his own efforts, it is an inspirational film. Judging from the extreme persecution of homosexuals by the government, this is a story of resisting violence and celebrating freedom. Judging from the final tragic death of the protagonist in the free country "America", it seems to reveal the taste of nihility in life. Life is ironic! Before coming to the United States, he regarded the United States as a paradise like a child, but in the end he missed his home country and died tragically in the United States. Maybe I have been repressed for too long. I always feel that there must be hope if you resist what you think is unreasonable. There may be too many people who are out of place. They cannot compromise on life. They must publicize their own personality, release and express themselves , they are inherently restless. Their lives are destined to be full of ups and downs, and destined to be more interesting than most of us.

What kind of country is Cuba? In the movies, the prisons are very dilapidated, and the ships are dilapidated. How is the development now? What I find very interesting is the economics of prisons. There are no banknotes in prisons, but cigarettes act as currency. The protagonist bribes Depp with 1,000 cigarettes so that his book can be published. It seems that as long as there are people, there is a need for exchange!

I may really not be used to the director's swaying scenes, and I think his words are better than the movie. Is it published in China?

  • Reinaldo's Mother: Reinaldo, would you be sad if I died?

  • Reinaldo Arenas: [narrating] Leonardo da Vinci was homosexual, so was Michelangelo, Socrates, Shakespeare, and almost every other figure that has formed what we have come to understand as beauty.
