When I first heard this name, I thought it would be a love story between a man and a woman, perhaps a prodigal son who has been in love for many years, who can distinguish women by scent! Then I met my true love by chance, then fell in love and conflicted and finally got together!
So I watched this movie after a long time, and then I found out that this is not what I thought, although it fits the title of the movie, but it is more about the story of two men!
It is a collision between old and new life, and in getting along, it becomes a family-like existence! Charlie has prevented Frank from committing suicide countless times, allowing him to find a reason to live! Frank's intense speech to school also helped Charlie solve the puzzle!
Frank has experienced life and death and wars, but what is even more cruel to him is that he finds that he is too old and tired, and he cannot live as unrestrainedly as together! He's blind, he feels his life is hopeless, and he wants to kill himself to get out! He's blind, and being blind makes his sense of smell more sensitive, he can identify women by scent! More, is his life experience! This is the point that matches the title of the film!
Al Pacino may not be handsome or tall, but when he dances the tango, he is charming and radiant! "The good thing about tango is that even if you're wrong, you can keep going wrong." There is also a glimpse of the dance partner who is beautiful and fairy!
In this film, an unexpected encounter, a "sexy" tango, a wanton drag racing and a hearty speech completely describe the whole process of a life from "destruction" to "rebirth".
There may always be some reasons for the meeting of two lives, love, friendship or family! Sometimes, it may be to bring a new radiance to the other person's life! To make each other happier!
