Selflessness does not mean fearlessness

It's really enjoyable to watch this Hollywood classic film performed by an old actor. Loved the performances of actors like Kevin Costner, Robert De Niro, Sean Connery and more. Their images are really made for movies, when they appear on the camera, there will be drama when they stand still! Kevin Costner with his squad, go ahead! The plot is constantly contradictory, and one climax after another is accompanied by a suitable soundtrack, making people too busy to care about other things. The setting of the story and the costumes of the characters are in line with my imagination of that era.
Kevin Costner's righteous commissioner bravely challenges Chicago's gangsters. But faced with the threat of gangsters, he was afraid to move his family out. When faced with the brutal killing of his teammates, he was discouraged. The elderly detective played by Sean Connery encourages him and pushes him forward! He survived the difficulty and continued to investigate. A fair and just heart is hard to come by, and bravery and fearlessness are even harder to find. Only when faced with difficulties and obstacles can a person's inner disposition be revealed. But this is also just right in the character setting! The commissioner played by Kevin Costner is not a high-profile figure, but a real person in real life. We are all ordinary people. When faced with difficulties, let us encourage each other with this unselfish commissioner!

  • Malone: [at the police training academy] Why do you want to join the force?

George Stone: To protect the property and citizenry of...

Malone: Ah, don't waste my time with that bullshit. Where you from, Stone?

George Stone: I'm from the south-side.

Malone: Stone. George Stone. That's your name? What's your real name?

George Stone: That is my real name.

Malone: Nah. What was it before you changed it?

    George Stone: Giuseppe Petri.

Malone: Ah, I knew it. That's all you need, one thieving wop on the team.

George Stone: Hey, what's that you say?

Malone: I said that you're a lying member of a no good race.

George Stone: [He cuffs Stone across the face. As he draws back his arm again, Stone presses a gun under his chin] Much better than you, you stinking Irish shit pig.

    Malone: Oh, I like him.

Ness: [Ness looking a bit nervous and Malone smiling at Stone] Yeah I like him too.

  • Reporter: [interviewing Capone while a barber shaves him] And what of your reputation for violence? That those who don't buy your product are dealt with violently?

Capone: [pulls his face away from the razor, sees that he's bleeding slightly, the barber looks horrified] S'alright. I grew up in a tough neighborhood and we used to say "You can get further with a kind word and a gun than you can with just a kind word."
