Did you really understand this movie? Past, present, future, evolution or destruction, where should human beings go?

Thinking about the meaning of life has always been the pursuit of Buddhism, Taoism, and Zen. One flower, one world, one leaf, one bodhi, all things make the world, and all things themselves are the world. who am I? Why did I come to this world? What is the meaning of my coming into this world? Today, the world of materialistic desires has long corroded human beings. War, fame, hatred, and murder, few people care about the meaning of life and face the inner world of human beings. Humans, what are you afraid of?

In 2012, the "Death of Humanity Report" jointly directed by three directors was released in South Korea. The film revealed to us various fantasies of the future extinction of mankind with three independent science fiction stories. The three stories have different angles. The first story has the style of European and American zombie films. The heavy mouth and strong visual impact can be described as a forward-looking work of "Train to Busan" (tough guy Ma Dongxi appears here again, this guy seems to like acting. Zombie movie), the second story is more like the Korean version of Will Smith's "Enemies", and the third story has a humorous Japanese and comic style. The three stories seem to have different ideas, but in fact they point to the Continue to die and then destroy or be born again after evolution.

The first story "Brave New World" uses a rotten apple as the fuse, because researcher Yin Shiyu was in a hurry to date and did not sort the garbage (although the editor still can't distinguish the specific types of recyclable garbage and non-recyclable garbage), Bacterial lesions produced in apples caused influenza and plague through the spread of bovine animals, and the loss of human beings quickly swept the world. At the end of the film, as the male protagonist's date handed the original apple to Yin Shiyu, Adam finally ate the apple, ushering in a new era of the human world. (Genesis 2:16,17)

Many people think that the first story is nothing new, it is just about neglecting small sections to make a big mistake or the importance of protecting the environment. People who understand this way ignore the title of the story and the theme of the film, the report on the end of mankind and the brave new world. The two seemingly contradictory topics reach a consistent fit in this story. Does the extinction of human beings due to mutual suspicion and hatred (expressed in the Korean media and government) means the birth of a new world of nature, after the creator destroys human beings? , without war and destruction, is the world more harmonious and beautiful? What's more, does human beings become zombies mean extinction rather than evolution? There is no need to eat, no desire, and immortality. Does this mean the advent of a new world for nature, the creator and all beings, who suffer from human ambition? (The editor remembers reading a book before saying that zombies are a new form of human evolution. Although the idea is bold, it is not useless. At least it will not die if it becomes a zombie, there is no desire to fight, and there are also zombies at the end of this film. With independent consciousness, as for biting, who told you that you and zombies are different species, cattle and sheep don’t want you to eat it, but you still eat it... From this point of view, is human evolution or destruction? Well, the director threw people a complicated problem.)

The second story is more complicated, because the Buddhist perception of life is interpreted into the film by the director, so the second story is the most thoughtful but also the most difficult to understand. . The story tells that the robot RU-4, which was originally responsible for the tour guide of the temple, suddenly has its own wisdom and even has a perception of Zen. Driven by the desire to do good and finally lose hope for mankind, RU-4 chose to take his own life and drive west.

The debate between the RU-4 robot and the president of the human robot manufacturing company is the climax of the second story. The president of the human robot company expressed his concern about the robot's self-awareness. Many other science fiction films have detailed descriptions, so it seems that the basic points are similar. Because of robots, other aspects of human evolution are basically stagnant, and the popularization of computers has caused humans to lose the evolution of their brains. However, the only result of the stagnation of human evolution is the advancement of science and technology and the emergence of robots. Now there is a danger of replacing humans. It is true that we cannot accept that as a part of human beings. However, the novelty of this story is that it does not focus on the debate on whether the autonomous consciousness of the robot is correct or not, but on the narrative of the robot below.

"For me, I have never had attachments or desires, and I don't have and never will, and I understand the teachings of the Buddha Shakyamuni. Humans, what are you afraid of? Attachments and desires, evil deeds and good deeds, Awakening and ignorance, after I realized the silence of Nirvana, the world in the eyes of robots has also been filled with them. Why do you think that only robots can achieve perfection? Humans, from the moment you came to the world, Awakening has long existed in your world, but it has only been forgotten. In the eyes of me, the robot, the world is beautiful because of it; whether the robot is awakened or not, the world is complete because of it. As masters of the human world, you I have already accomplished it, and it is precisely because of the reason why the robot in your heart should exist, in order not to let you fall into the abyss of ignorance, confusion, and stupidity again, I decided to leave here. Please look at you again. In the end, you will cultivate the fruit of awakening.”

The popular meaning of the whole paragraph is that because human beings are blinded by their own greed and desire, they cannot evolve and cultivate into the right fruit, but instead of seeing this, you are also complaining that it is our self-consciousness. To make you decline, we will not bear this pot. It is the decision of nature that all things come to this world. The world is perfect because of every flower, grass, tree and tree. Our arrival is not your decision, just like your arrival is not created by other species, we are the same great. The unity of nature, the world is beautiful because it is complete.
The story also ends with the mechanic inserting the chip in the arm into the robot dog's body, giving it new life. Although the identity change of the mechanic is really scary, but if you understand the story, the identity of the male protagonist is actually not so important...

The third story looks at this from the perspective of a child. The world, because the daughter who spoiled her father's No. 8 billiards, decided to buy a billiard online to avoid being scolded, but because of curiosity and nervousness, she bought an alien billiard. This huge billiard turned into a meteorite and hit the earth. On the surface, the earth is in an instant countdown to its demise. Within a few hours of its imminent destruction, the ugly side of the mundane world is exposed. The media pinch each other and the style of advertising changes make people laugh in despair. Finally, after the little girl signed and confirmed the order in the hands of the cosmic courier (there may be a five-star praise), the courier left with satisfaction in the UFO, leaving behind a black 8 ball with a diameter of ten kilometers. A new world has ushered in the laughter of mutual understanding. For children, the scolding from adults may be the sudden end of the world, and the trust and understanding of family members means the hope and rebirth of the new world. Children are so simple and lovely .

If the third story must have something to do with alien species, then staying away from them is the director's best advice. A child's black 8-ball express is enough to destroy the earth. Do you feel terrified? Both Einstein and Hawking have repeatedly warned us not to try to search for extraterrestrial life too much, because once they are discovered, it means that their technology must be more advanced than ours, then it is not for us humans to decide whether it is peace or destruction.

The three stories seem to be irrelevant, but in fact, they all discuss and reflect on a question. Sooner or later, the current development mode of mankind will come to its demise and the rebirth of a new world. Will it be destroyed by nature to give birth to new species, or will it be created by human beings? Replaced by life, or annihilated by alien life. Without change, human extinction is not simply the plot described in the movie.

The first one, although it's far-fetched, tells an amazing theory of material transformation, and the cliché story that I still love you after I die. The third one is about when a time period and things are connected in the universe, that is to say, the No. 8 ball has an unexplainable black hole relationship with the universe. The second one is very interesting. The monk looks at the robot. When the hope of the true fruit is reached, the delusional desire to achieve the true Buddha's true fruit through it, but the deep other causes
