The second episode in the modern era can be seamlessly connected with the third episode in the Nebula. After Tommy discovered the tree of life in a medical experiment, he realized the technology of immortality, so humans no longer died, and the tree of life gradually withered. After Tommy discovered the tree of life and the secret of immortality, he hoped to use the tree of life to revive Lizzie, so he continued to live for five hundred years, thinking that as long as he could reach the nebula, the tree of life could be resurrected, and Lizzie could also come back to life. But the moment before reaching the Death Star, the tree of life died completely, just as it was discovered that the tree of life did not have time to save Lizzie. But the difference is that this time, Tommy finally understands that death is not a disease, and only in death can eternal life be achieved. So the tree of life was reborn.
