When I watched this movie when I was a child, except for a bit of horror, I was confused. When I grew up, I began to think about what it could represent except for being confused. Now think back to how it felt, and think about whether this is a sad metaphor for racism with the stupidity of people feeling extremely worried about their own brain defects, other than being confused.
The new version is quite interesting, at least it is not a messy account of residual brain energy. Although the center is still insulting human beings, it is at least a conscious insult, not a brain-dead show. There is logic and logic, and there is a story. "People are stupid, they hurt themselves. People are stupid, they are damned.". Instead of: "I'm just a mentally retarded man, I'll show you two tricks. Look at how stupid I am and how ridiculous what he can think of."
really confused
