Sony builds it like this, it’s better to concentrate on the game

According to imdb estimates, the cost of this movie is 110 million U.S. dollars.

The cost of "Gravity", which has received 10 Oscar nominations and won a total of 7 awards including Best Director, is only 100 million.

Sony is really rich and made such a mediocre and boring movie before spending so much.

The script of "Space Traveler" has been floating in Hollywood for many years, and it has been leaked for a long time. It is rumored that Keanu Reeves has been running around trying to take pictures, and the heroine is said to be Reese Witherspoon. The film was not made after many years, and the copyright was put out for auction, and finally fell into the hands of Sony.

Some people who have seen the leaked version of the script say that they don't understand why Sony bought it, because it is a very half-hearted science fiction thriller, otherwise it would not have been made for so many years. I didn't read the script, but after reading the summary written by others, from the plot, I think it is more than half a star compared to the final film. I have read the scripts of ethical science fiction thrillers that are much cheaper, and they are much more interesting.

I don’t know if it was because the script was leaked that the beginning and ending of the film were changed. Is it necessary to change it? Is necessary. Has it changed well? not good.

The revised movie script brought out a big suspense right from the beginning-the big cousin was awakened by Pratt.

First of all, with this change, during the whole process of the love relationship between Pratt and the big cousin, I, as an audience, did not realize the sweetness and beauty of their love at all, and only felt disgusting. Until the final confession by the big cousin, there was no sympathy. According to the original writing method, at least the audience watched the two hapless mates in the first half of the episode, which is still very acceptable; when the truth is revealed, it can be subverted just like the big cousin. But in any case, this is also a twisted melon. As said in the movie, if you change the time and place, the eldest cousin and Pratt will not meet. If he were not awakened and trapped together, she would not have feelings for him, at least there would be no chance to give him.

And after this change, the narrative becomes top-heavy, and the head is still filled with water. Anyone who has watched the trailer knows that the big cousin woke up later, even if they didn't watch the trailer and knew that the big cousin was starring, Sony would not give her 20 million and let her lie down. So Pratt is struggling whether to wake her up or not. Although it is necessary to spend some time on the plot, the audience already knows the answer, which makes people want to pull the progress bar.

In contrast, the modification at the end is a bit easier to understand. In the original script, the dormant capsules all flew into space due to a spacecraft failure, and those who were asleep died, only two protagonists survived. Finally, the spacecraft arrived at the destination, and the children and grandchildren of the two people walked off the ship. Because the male protagonist selfishly awakened the female protagonist and saved her life by mistake, this kind of whitewashing is too far-fetched, let alone the two children want to marry close relatives...

After the modification, the two have no children, but just calmly stay together. Spending the rest of your life on the spacecraft is easier for the audience to accept. But since it was already dark at the beginning, it's better to keep it dark. For example, the male lead hangs up to repair the spaceship, or the female lead kills him in anger, and then the female lead awakens a man again after a period of time is too lonely...Or or In the end, the heroine herself entered the medical cabin and slept to the destination, and wrote a book with the memory of the hero-the hero's loneliness and death can be regarded as a response.

Except for the love part, the spacecraft malfunction is simply the biggest malfunction of the movie itself. It was originally a very good suspense throughout the film-is there something wrong with the spacecraft? What went wrong? Why is there a problem? What is the bigger crisis behind?

We waited and waited until there was nothing in the end-the spacecraft malfunctioned, it was a malfunction, and the malfunction was eliminated. And this failure is caused by a very brain-dead cause. A meteorite causes such a mess, how can your spacecraft operate? A staff member appeared in the middle and read a bunch of background introductions needed for the plot. He died before he did anything, and had to be a matchmaker before he died. It's weird, you have only met for a few days, so you have to take care of it.

However, the manufacturer of this spacecraft is still fascinated by self-confidence, and feels that the dormant cabin has never failed, so there is no need to design a re-sleeping plan. If you haven’t caught fire, you don’t need to prepare a fire extinguisher. Moreover, the medical area is so small, with just one hospital bed, the public living area is quite big, the dining and entertainment facilities are so old, and there are so big suites. I have slept in the dormant cabin for 120 years, just awake for a few months, and there are more than 5,000 people in total. Is it necessary? With a spaceship as big, more than half of the space will be idle 99.9% of the time. Isn’t it good to have a propulsion fuel left? Not to mention why when everyone should be asleep, the restaurant and bar are still open, the swimming pool is still heating and changing water, and the broadcast director also explained the scenery outside the window.

As for the male protagonist and a mechanic who suddenly became proficient in spaceships, and the mysterious permission system that can’t drink coffee but can sleep in a large suite, people who walk in space and fly down like jumping off a building, because “it’s too late”. Wake up the professionals to repair the spacecraft by themselves, etc.

The plot is weak, and the characters are also weak. Originally, for such a story, the play focused on the male and female protagonist plus an AI bartender. There is so much space to create characters. As a result, the director is always talking about running accounts, and it is useless to think about the characters' characteristics. The female protagonist is the cousin, the male protagonist is Chris Pratt, one is a casual and sharp beauty, and the other is a grassroots man who is funny regardless of occasion. They are basically themselves. Why I always use their names instead of the hero and heroine, because I don't remember who the characters are.

The plot is obviously not suspenseful, and the soundtrack has to be added forcibly. Before the big cousin appeared, Pratt tried to fly into space to commit suicide. The ghost knew that the protagonist would not hang up in the first 20 minutes, and the soundtrack was too high.

Of course, movies are not useless, at least the special effects are worth the money. The design of the spacecraft is reasonable and unreasonable, and it is not very clear. It is very beautiful. The weightlessness of the eldest cousin swimming is the highlight of the whole film. By the way, the big cousin's collapse scene also performed the explosive power of the queen, and the eight million more than Pratt was not for nothing. What's more, the big cousin also showed a lot of meat. Pratt was like that when she was not making Marvel movies.

All in all, this movie is affirmative. Director Morten Tyldum is definitely not at this level. I like his "Headhunting Game" very much. The chain of suspense is endlessly reversed. This movie is not inherited at all. Not to mention "Imitation Game", Oscar-level. He is definitely a capable director, and Sony must have valued his ability when looking for him. This film is made like this, it can only be Sony's pot. Good independent directors often have trouble cooperating with major studios, and even a Marvel who makes a profit in a series of filming is also annoying to leave Edgar Wright. Contradiction is nothing more than high-level intervention in the creation. Sometimes the result is good, but when it's good, people usually don't pay much attention to it. The director of the new F4, Trank, was talking to FOX, which was much more exciting than the movie itself.

In 2016, Sony’s companies released 36 films in North America, which is the most among the top six. However, the total revenue in North America is only fifth, which is less than one-third of that of Disney, which ranks first. Moreover, there are many potential stocks in the movies released by Sony, and changing the distribution strategy may greatly improve the box office. The income is worrying, and the cost is so bold, it's really not a good business. If this continues, Sony Pictures will have to check whether it is bankrupt or not.
