I don't find anyone digging up any information about this lady-in-waiting duchess, so let me go.
After watching this drama, what impressed me the most and moved me the most was not Queen Victoria nor the love between the Queen and the Prince, but the love between Duchess of Sutherland and her brother Ernst. I agree with a friend of Douyou's evaluation of the drama: an emotional drama in the coat of the court. I originally thought of giving it two stars, but I only added one star for the acting skills of Duchess and the actors.
Beginning with the life of the Duchess: lady Harriet Elizabeth Georgiana Howard, her father is an earl, and Mama is the daughter of the Duchess of Devonshire (she was Kayla Nutley's "The Duchess") daughter Geordgiana Carvendish. Inheriting the excellent genes of her grandmother, she has been a beauty since she was a child, as shown in the picture below.
At the age of 17 (1823), she married her cousin, the second Duke of Sutherland, who was 20 years older than her, and gave birth to ten children (one more than the Queen). During the Whig government, she was Queen Victoria's matriarch and a good friend of the Queen (she was always by her side after she was widowed). After her death (1868) her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law succeeded her as the matriarch of Victoria.
Our play takes place in 1837, when the Queen came to the throne, when she was in her 30s, with a husband and children. As soon as he appeared, he was amazed by his elegant and respectable temperament.
To be continued. . . When will you pay attention to my mood
