Since it's my spare time, I just want to find a movie to make the time easier. Was looking for a popcorn-style action movie, so I almost wanted to give it up in the first few minutes. At first glance, it is an old movie production, far from the detailed and huge picture quality that is used in the current blockbuster. It is like getting used to the current smartphone and retina screen, and suddenly turning on a Nokia Symbian system. Once the character dialogue and a few scenes are rolled out, the taste is very different from the medieval theme I expected, especially after the recent seasons of "The Game of Throne".
But after the first few minutes, I started laughing happily and knew I would read it with relish. I don't know why, but it gave me the feeling of a British light comedy, or even a lighthearted, lively stage play. The actors are candid, cheerful, serious and skillful in "acting". The standard is very good, but they are not ready to take you into the play, but stop you in the audience on the stage. The plot, the sets, the costumes, and even the music and picture editing all come together to remind you that this is a modern teen romance in medieval costumes. A sunny boy with blond hair, a rich and beautiful girl with a charming smile, like-minded friends who play tricks, sinister and cunning villains and a handsome prince who saves everyone's fate at a critical moment, plus a fairy tale ending where the prince kisses the princess. From the point of view of the film itself, that's about it.
But the meaning of film existence lies in the feelings of the audience, personal feelings. I still like this movie, so it's rare to type so many words for it. The actors perform well, so you can appreciate their quality of performance, and of course the beauty, temperament and distinct personality of the protagonists. I had little impression of the name Heath Ledger before, but his face and eyes were familiar to me, and I always felt that he was a young age of a big actor. It was only later that I learned that he was the one who played the hero of "Brokeback Mountain" and the clown of "Batman - The Dark Knight". His appearance and temperament in the film reminds me of Brad Pitt's youthful days. Unfortunately, Heath died at an early age. Otherwise, he will become an uncle with more and more taste and strength, and become another enduring famous dish in Hollywood. And this poster reminds me of "The Doors". Shannyn Sossamon personally thinks that she is not a big beauty in the traditional sense, but I like her smile very much. Like Heath's blonde hair, it is the embodiment of sunshine. As a youth romance film, these two are enough. The actor who still impresses me is the writer who ran naked. Hehe, he is Paul Bettany. I don't know if he is here to steal the show or to be in town. One of the most unsuccessful characters in the film is the father of the male protagonist. I'm sorry to complain about the old man. Is it a relative of the director?
Finally, let’s go a little further, to appreciate the essence of the Middle Ages, whether it is the visual world or the spiritual world. Go see The Game of Throne!
