Maria is a young and lively nun who likes to sing aloud in nature. This is the expression of her love for songs and life. Compared with the current life, this kind of behavior is rarely seen. Because of her fascination with singing, she often forgets the rules in the monastery. The abbot believes that Maria does not belong to the strict monastery. After discussing with the maids, the dean decided to arrange for Maria to be a tutor named Colonel Trapp. It is this that makes this kind and capable girl find happiness. Her enthusiasm and kindness made the children fall in love with her, get along with the children, and formed a band. It is very rare to have such a life. There was a relationship between the colonel and Maria. After they got married, they returned to Austria, which had been occupied by the Nazis.
