Yes, it's ironic.
The film has very little depiction of the brutality of war, and more depicts scenes of war violence, no sympathy, only blood. The Cold War Soldiers are just that kind of people who fight forever and never grieve. If you are captured by the enemy, you will be killed by others. No gay friendship, no fear. Only killing.
And the interspersed TV films make the atmosphere of the film more complicated. The kind of bellicose propaganda, even the propaganda of the destruction of Buenos Alice, is to incite war. Emotionless tone.
Various action scenes are too distorted, there is a sense of entertainment. The worms are mighty and mighty, but it is really useless to fight. You can't do them with guns at all, shells are more practical, but there are so many magical encounters.
And the people who are in it, the hearts of the characters feel very empty, and the setting of the four-cornered love does not create good emotional clues and inner changes. It just feels like it's killing it from beginning to end. Rick's growth trajectory is too weird.
The belligerent atmosphere makes people feel exaggerated, but there is a sense of humor.
All in all, this is not a movie like Fury. The atmosphere is wrong and embarrassing.
