Short comment: Paul van Hoeven’s sci-fi film made up

1. When I saw more than half of it, I felt like ordinary Hollywood routines were put on the skin of a b-level film, but at the end I was shocked. There were three big reversals. When I pretended to be a doctor and told him that it was all dreams, it was evil. When the boss tells him his true identity, and when he concludes that they are really worried that this is just a dream. Whether it is interpreted as a dream or "implanted memory" defeats the real body, it is very powerful. There are many movies about dreams and reality. The narration is clear enough not to confuse people, and the reversal is clever enough to not feel deliberate, very powerful.

2. All kinds of alien creatures, abnormal and bloody pictures are really dazzling. Mars uses a red filter, and the vast mountains undulate. It is also an eye-opener for those who don't watch many b-level movies.

3. Each role is related to the plot, very Hollywood's processing method, but to increase the visibility, the role of the black brother is impressive, of course there are many stereotypes.

    Douglas Quaid: I give up.

Bob McClane: You! You're the same. No matter where you go, there you are. It's always the same old you. Let me suggest that you take a vacation from yourself. I-I know it sounds wild. It is the latest thing in travel. We call it the Ego Trip.

  • [Lori tries to distract Quaid by acting sexy, but he quickly he catches on]

    Douglas Quaid: Clever girl!

[He points a gun at her head]

Lori: You wouldn't kill me, would you, honey? After all we've been through...?

Douglas Quaid: [Thinking it over] Some of it was fun.

[He suddenly punches her, knocking her out]

    Douglas Quaid: Nice knowing you.

    [He leaves]
