A ridiculous farce

The film's portrayal of the image and character of each pet is the only highlight of this film. The screenwriter has thoroughly figured out the personalities of all kinds of pets, and on this basis has created many interesting jokes, which makes many characters in the film distinctive and endearing, and also makes the film full of laughter.

The plot of the film is quite complicated at first glance. The two dogs chase each other for a while, the wild cat group for a while, humans chase for a while, and the Alliance Against Humanity for a while...
And the film reveals one after another from the time these two dogs meet. many contradictions: the contradiction between the contradiction between the two dogs, dogs and feral cats, stray dogs and patrol the conflict between humans, domestic pets and the contradiction between the abandoned pets, etc., etc.
I think, the circumstances of people The appeal of a story often depends on the contradictions established in the story, and the more intense the contradiction, the more intense the plot. To be able to establish so many contradictions at once, it seems that the director's ambition is not small.

Therefore, I was basically grasped by the plot from the beginning of the film, because I was full of curiosity and expectation for the development of the next plot, and I couldn't wait to see how the director resolved these contradictions one by one through clever plot arrangements. He also took it for granted that when these contradictions were resolved, he would inevitably undergo some spiritual baptism.

But the more I looked at it, the more it felt wrong.

How could this be? They...are they reconciled?
what's the situation! So simple that they decided to join forces?
No way...why does it save it?
Wait, where are the two humans catching animals?

Suddenly, the sharp contradictions that once gripped people's hearts have evaporated one after another inexplicably: the dog-catcher who was aggressive before disappeared without a trace; Turning enemies into friends regardless of previous suspicions; once the villain who once held a grudge against mankind for a long time was favored, he immediately let go of the past and "abandoned evil and turned to good", completely forgetting that the master who had cruelly abandoned him was so fond of him at the beginning.

The director chose to use absurd means to resolve disputes, use funny reasons to resolve conflicts, and then forcibly develop the plot, destroying the foreshadowing laid before, exposing one logical flaw after another in the second half of the film, and telling the story well Round and flat, not flat, makes the plot of the film look ridiculous, turning the whole film into a farce.

In a movie, the plot is the most important thing. It is a waste of time to have characters and ignore the plot. It is the last word to be able to tell a story well.

Some people may say that this is just an animated film. The protagonists are all small animals, and it's fine to watch them happily. Why do you have to be so strict with the plot and pursue those seemingly insignificant details?

To these people, I just want to say,

you must not have seen "Zootopia".
