Exactly 20 years have passed, and the old friends of aliens that we are familiar with who specialize in bombing landmarks have revisited again. A city, this time the entire Atlantic Ocean, last time I had to fire a cannon, this time I shoveled away a piece of the moon by directly hitting it... 20 years ago, the special effects of the movie were very limited, but today it is different. The 21st century computer technology can It makes many grand scenes more realistic and shocking. Right, I believe that Emmerich, who has gone through "Independence Day", "Godzilla", "The Day After Tomorrow" and "2012", is most familiar with it. Because of the director's understanding of the power of human technology, this film has no surprises and presents the highest visual quality, there is absolutely no doubt about it.
However, the director overlooked one point. At the moment when visual blockbusters are rampant, the more and more critical audiences are looking forward to is no longer just a simple visual feast, but they need a comprehensive art that integrates stories, pictures, and performances. Larger spaceships and more natural special effects were the benchmark in 1996, but are now clichéd. 20 years is enough time for a passionate young man to grow into a father. How many of them will walk into the theater with the emotion of science fiction? What this film needs to capture is the "new" young man who has not seen the prequel back then. It is not a simple continuation or improvement, but it needs to cross the previous benchmark and take a new path.
Although Tencent QQ and Mengniu, which are strongly inserted into the film, are disgusting, they are not enough to ruin a film. What really cools the audience's enthusiasm is the extremely pale and completely unreasonable logic of the story of this film. Twenty years ago, the director still knew how to play the family card, leaving a burning feeling for some shallow-eyed audiences. Today, the emotional lines of the protagonists who lack Will Smith are so weak that they almost have no sense of existence. It is optional; although we all know that popcorn movies should not be taken seriously, the logic of this movie is too mentally retarded, right? The queen bee is so confident that she wears armor and rushes into the enemy's army to kill a feud with her own hands? This is definitely not the strategic height and IQ of a race that dominates the universe. And who is the idiot who likes Yang Ying? I'm not jealous of Qu, I'm not interested in Baby, I just want to say that his acting skills are really super scumbag, so I've been looking forward to the aliens collapsing Qu.
This is the disappointment of this film - all the routines are guessed by the audience, and Emmerich is the magic shown in "The Day After Tomorrow" and "2012" without a trace.
I think the third episode of this film can actually be filmed directly for "Three-Body Problem", I hope I won't have to wait another 20 years.
The vision is wonderful, you can go to the theater to feel it, the story is not discussed, wait for the old to read the details, and do not collect.
