Twenty years ago, the classic sci-fi blockbuster "Independence Day" was thrilling to watch at the time. Roland Emmerich dared to blow up the White House in the movie for the first person in the world. His stunt movies have never let me down. Whether it is the breathtaking images in "After Tomorrow" or "2012", or the mainstream American values promoted in them, they have subtly influenced audiences all over the world. Unfortunately, this year's much-anticipated "Independence Day 2" has disappointed me. Although many of the original cast of the year have been recovered, the magnificent momentum and ambition of the year have long disappeared. In its place is a booming commercial vibe, an old-fashioned narrative tone, and a tiresome politically correct message. There seems to be only one skill left to talk about: stunts. However, even the director of the White House Statue of Liberty, Christ Jesus, and other landmarks around the world has been bombed, what stunts are worth our surprise? Indeed, the proportions of stunts in this sequel are far less shocking than they used to be. The final climax is a bit like the ultimate breakthrough in a children's game, which is too tricky in my opinion.
