This is a top-ranked series, praised by many as "the Bible that men should read". I watched it very hard, literally, but this is a movie worth recommending.
The Godfather Trilogy tells the story of a gangster family founded in the United States by immigrants from Sicily, Italy. There are 3 godfathers in total.
Why it’s hard to
watch : A: Each movie is about 3 hours, accompanied by the dim tone of the old movie and the lazy background music. When I watched the first movie, I insisted on listening to the vague teachings of the godfather of Crooked Face with the heart to complete the viewing task. In addition, there are many characters in the scene, blind to the West, and often unable to recognize the characters, which is called a drowsy.
By the second part, I was a little more sober. After all, the content of the film is the intersection of the first generation of godfathers when they were young and the experience of the second generation of godfathers when they led the family. Of course, when there is a shady scene in the film's cross-interface, the heart will hope that there will be a cast, but in fact it is just off the screen.
I couldn't insist on a three-part simulcast. The last one was watched on the computer the next day. The impression was the best. It is not ruled out that it is the pleasure of finally liberating from the long novel.
B: What the film advocates is the traditional Sicilian values. It values the family, and has a clear division of labor. The highest imagination for women is to be beautiful and virtuous, to be a good mother.
In the first and second installments, a generation of godfather's beloved daughter was only crying because of domestic violence. Not only did she not divorce, she also became pregnant with the child of a scumbag, which made me very uncomfortable.
Recommendation:
A: It's like being whizzed by the tide of the times. Although the characters inside have a lot of power, it is difficult to control their direction.
The protagonist rarely seeks benevolence and gains benevolence, gain is always accompanied by loss.
One generation of godfather was jointly assassinated by several other gangster families for not wanting to sell drugs. After fighting with each other, he lost his eldest son and finally had to compromise; the
second generation of godfather avenged the first generation of godfather and his elder brother, and then transferred the family industry. At least in Las Vegas, where there is little supervision, because the second brother betrayed the family, even if he valued family affection, he eventually ordered others to kill his second brother;
In order to inherit the family, three generations of the godfather gave up their loved ones...
Among them, the first and second generations of the godfather died alone in their later years. Probably the next three generations of godfathers will do the same.
B: Because of the establishment and improvement of the legal system of the modern country, the power of violence has been weakened, and the power of intelligence has been strengthened. The gangs are getting worse and worse, and there are fewer and fewer movies about the underworld.
And "The Godfather" is a series of gangster movies involving family affection, love, betrayal, religion, power, destiny...maybe the most humanistic underworld movie?
Of course, what I like most is the hypocritical depiction of the characters who believe in Catholicism, promote love and peace, and do charity.
