The X-Men series has always had this problem, and people can't remember what each movie specifically said. In short, every movie is a fight between mutants, and then the righteous side will always win.
With the addition of the rumored "Deadpool" and "Wolverine", the X-Men series has a total of nine movies so far. I should have watched all these nine movies, or I think I should have watched them, but if you ask me what the first X-Men specifically said, I really can’t remember.
The deepest impression of this series is probably the few memorable mutants, the mainstay Wolverine, the perfect CP professor and Magneto, who play fast silver, sell cute nightcrawlers, and the second-year young laser eye, the strongest Set the Phoenix Girl and the Devil Girl Storm Girl, etc.
From the character image, this series is a success. But when you think about it carefully, superheroes have an inherent advantage in character creation. Its unclear skills will always leave a deep impression. What's more, superhero movies are generally series, and the same group of characters appear repeatedly for countless times. It is strange that they do not leave a deep impression.
Secondly, the most important point of the X-Men series has always been: the relationship between humans and mutants. After all, the two coexist on the earth, and hate each other, fear each other, torture and attack each other everywhere. For mutants, how to deal with themselves and how to deal with humans is a very complicated problem, and this is exactly the difference between Professor X and Magneto.
But in "Apocalypse", this is not strongly expressed. Because Apocalypse appeared as an absolute villain, the internal fighting between humans and mutants has become a battle with Apocalypse. Even humans have no sense of existence in this movie, just showing a few horrified faces and images. Like ants, they were destroyed.
Generally speaking, this X-Men movie, as the finale of the prequel trilogy, is quite satisfactory. Although it is not as good as "First Stop", it will not be a hindrance to these three parts. Although there are some unsmooth points in the storyline, and the character changes are too sudden, but fortunately this movie has too many small surprises.
These small details are what the director really cares about, and they are also the points that I pay special attention to when I watch a movie. After all, there are too many special effects and scenes, and aesthetic fatigue. On the contrary, these interesting little details kept me curious and watched the movie end.
First of all, I was pleasantly surprised that when the opening 20th Century Fox film was marked, there was an "X" that stood out for a second before the black scene, during which the classic theme song of the X-Men series was also mixed. It can be seen that the 20th Century Fox film was exhausted for this film, even at the expense of its own logo.
One of the film production companies in the opening credits is worth mentioning, that is, the bad guy Harry Productions. The boss of this company is director Brian Singer, whose mark is a classic shot in the film "The Very Suspect" directed by Kevin Spacey in 1995. The last "Reverse the Future" was also produced by this company, and the famous American drama "Doctor House" was also their work.
So Singer is not only the director, but also the boss of the production company in these two films. This greatly gave him complete autonomy in film shooting and production, far more than those directors who don't even have the right to edit.
Then there is a story about how the Apocalypse was buried in the ground in ancient times, where the "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" is mentioned for the first time. In the "Bible Revelation", famine, death, war, and plague were originally the four major killers that destroyed the world. In the X-Men comic series, they are cited as the four mutant deputies who are inseparable from the apocalypse.
They appeared in the Easter eggs of the last "Reverse the Future", but they were destroyed as soon as the film appeared. In the comics, heroes such as Wolverine, Hulk, and Sentry have all been knights of the apocalypse.
Immediately there is a must-have appetizer before the start of the feature film. Every known X-Men movie starts with a classic melody plus special effects and closes the door to the final "X-Men". In this one, it was performed particularly brilliantly and coolly. It may be to show the star change and fit the theme of the movie. The tunnels in this process show the rise of ancient Egyptian drums, Greek ancient China to Christianity to the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. Then to the two industrial revolutions and then to the two world wars and the Cold War and the subsequent era of the Great Depression, and finally to the 1980s when the story took place.
This section of special effects is extremely cool, comparable to the opening of the film in "The Big Bang Theory" that shows the entire history of human civilization.
The film is also very good in music. The original soundtrack already has resources on the Internet. It is strongly recommended to listen to it. Of course, the most amazing thing is the metal soundtrack when Apocalypse found an angel with wings and replaced him with a pair of metal wings. Fans who like metal music probably hear it right away. This is the classic track "The Four Horsemen" (The Four Horsemen) in the 1983 album "Kill'Em All" by the well-known metal band Metallica.
The moment I heard it in the cinema, my whole person was high. Another interesting thing about Metallica is that all the opening songs of their band’s performance are the soundtrack "The Ecstasy of Gold" from the famous western movie "The Good, the Three and the Good." The movie The Red Dead trilogy and the original soundtrack composed by the soundtrack master Monique is worth seeing and listening.
Another interesting piece of music in the movie was when Apocalypse launched nuclear bombs from all countries in the world. The soundtrack turned out to be "Second Movement of Beethoven's Seventh Symphony." . This apocalyptic scene was very literary and retro, and the nuclear bombs flying in the sky even had a hint of "Dr. Strange Love".
Speaking of this, I must mention the guest appearance of Grandpa Stan Lee again. Grandpa Stan Lee's guest appearance in Marvel movies has become a cultural phenomenon, so that every time someone watches a movie, someone will pay attention to his appearance. According to media reports, this guest appearance was the most satisfying of all his guest appearances, because this time he showed up with his wife, holding his wife at the door of his house to watch the scene of the nuclear bomb going to the sky. Strength show affection.
Although it is a sci-fi movie, the story takes place in the 80s, so it has a strong retro style of that era, unlike other sci-fi movies, which is a high-tech era. Of course, fast silver and nightcrawler's red jackets can best show the style of the 80s.
In 1982, Uranus superstar Mike Jackson released the album "Thriller". This album was the first-selling album in history, and Mike Jackson's red jacket became a global trend. Obviously, the nightcrawler's red jacket is derived from Mike Jackson. So, Nightcrawler is not only cute, but also a fashionable teenager who keeps up with the trendy buildings.
As the most pleasing character in the X-Men series, Kuaiyin brings a lot of laughter every time it appears. But at the same time, he is also a fan of retro culture in the 80s. His favorite game is Pac-Man, wearing a Rush T-shirt, and even after his broken leg, the plaster still says "I love Rush". When he was saving people, all kinds of brains were opened up, and he did not forget to show off a section of MJ's spacewalk.
In addition, movie posters from the 1980s can be seen everywhere in the movie, the most obvious of which is of course "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi". The young X-Men from Laser Eye Phoenix and her team escaped from school just to watch the movie, and talked about the quality of the movie in a serious manner.
Phoenix girl also complained: The third part is always the worst. This is not only "Star Wars", but also the third "Last Stand" in the X-Men series. The evaluation of this film is so poor that many loyal fans do not recognize its existence.
Of course, as the mainstay of the X-Men, Wolverine will appear anyway, even if it is just a soy sauce, it can be regarded as an explanation of the historical background of Wolverine’s "X weapon". And the large reservoir that appeared in this segment was a very important scene in the previous movies and in the future of the entire X-Men series. Wolverine has returned here many times to search for the past, and the Phoenix Female Qin "dies" here just to protect her companion.
Finally, I must say that although the whole movie is mediocre, it has successfully completed the transition between the old and the new. Most important roles, such as the Phoenix Girl in Sansa, did not disappoint. After "Wolverine 3", after Wolf Uncle Hugh Jackman also retired, I hope that the new Uncle Wolf is still strong, then this series can continue.
Of course, there are easter eggs at the end of the movie, which is worth waiting for.
