When I was young, I liked to watch fairy tales. In the end, the prince and the princess are always together. Fairy tales are always perfect and sweet in the hearts of children. Fairy tales are the beautiful wishes in people's hearts, the beauty that is impossible to achieve.
It's like the beautiful but bleak movie "Edward Scissorhands". It tells the story of the sensitive and shy robot Edward, living alone in a mysterious castle. The scientist who created him died while preparing to complete the last process for him. Edward Although there are both human emotions and complete flesh and blood, he does not have a complete pair of hands, but he has a pair of metal scissors hands. The kind salesman Pegg found him and took him home. Edward fell in love with Pegg’s beautiful daughter, Kim, but in the end, because he did not belong to this world after all, he returned to the castle again, only with a bright ice sculpture. To express his love.

The deep castle is faintly exposed on the mountain, and the road leading to the castle is dark and thorny. When I approached, I saw lush and exquisite gardening sculptures. In the dark corner of the old castle walked out a man with disheveled black hair, pale face and scars.
Edward's face rarely has expressions, and only slightly raised the corners of his mouth when he is happy or grateful. His pure eyes are used to convey his feelings. Some people say that Edward's language is very few, but every sentence can move people.
All the most sincere and pure things are on him. He said: "I just want to help them." A simple town with all kinds of people in the world, forces, selfishness, indifference, and superstition. Perhaps it is these foils that let us see the most precious things in this world.
Edward’s love for Jin is selfless. He would rather steal because of Jin. After being caught, he didn’t confess who instigated him. He was finally released because of his "lack of ability to distinguish right from wrong." In fact, everyone knows that Edward’s love and hatred are distinct. He just doesn't want to hurt others, and silently bears all unrealistic accusations.
In that segment, when Edward was released home, he told Kim that he knew exactly what they were going to do. King asked Edward: "Do you know why you want to go?"
Edward said in a very soft voice, "Because you asked me to do it." In
the end, King was moved by Edward's selfless love, or was he truly attracted by Edward's charm. Attract, or see through the ugliness of her boyfriend and understand Edward's kindness? We don’t know, maybe it’s the reason. In the end, although Jin expressed his heart, he couldn’t be with Edward. In the castle, Edward stabbed Jin’s boyfriend to death. Jin took a handful of discarded scissors and walked away. I went to the people who came to explore and told them that Edward was dead, the crowds disbanded and went home, and Edward had a quiet life again. Perhaps this was the only thing King could do for Edward. After that, they never met.
Every detail of the film reveals the meaning of fairy tales. On Christmas night, snow is floating in the sky, Edward is carving an ice sculpture, and Jin is dancing in the ice and snow in a white dress. Are Edward's scum or snowflakes flying from the sky? The director used a very long picture to describe this scene. The long shots and short shots blend with each other. There is no dialogue but quiet background music.
When someone commented on this film, they said that King’s love for Edward was only a worldly love, while Edward’s love for King was the most sincere and innocent. It was immortal. It did not exist in this world, so it was destined that Edward was. Doesn't belong to our world.
The movie uses the theme of the robot, and telling everyone the story from the beginning is not a perfect ending, is it just because he is a robot? Perhaps it is, as it was said in the introduction of the film: He is a robot who doesn't even have the right to embrace the one he loves.
Does it remind me of that sentence: The furthest distance in the world is not when I stand in front of you but you don't know I love you, but when two people love each other but can't be together.
Edward gave us a world of fairy tales, a purest inner world, a sad fairy tale, and some feelings that cannot be expressed in words.
