"Bohemian Rhapsody": The Homesickness of All Mankind

Regarding Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the Queens band, I only know three things: first, he is gay; second, he died of AIDS; third, he composed the amazing "Bohemian Rhapsody." Therefore, my film reviews and his fans of various levels have different perspectives. However, even if I only know these three points, it still does not affect me sitting in the last row of the theater, watching a two-hour climax movie, and crying at the end.

My impression of "Bohemian Rhapsody" began at university. At that time, BBS had a rock section. I don’t know why I usually listen to classical music. I think I should listen to rock arty. There gathered a group of young rock and roll youths, both handsome and showy, both literary and crazy. I went to sing K with them several times. Generally, I started to sing some easy-to-do pop songs. After drinking the third tour, I started to sing "Internationale" to warm up, and then began to sing rock and roll with the treble protection of "Internationale". I am deeply impressed by their voices. Later, a CD was released on the edition, where each edition friend chose their favorite rock song. My knowledge of "Bohemian Rhapsody" probably started from that time.

I have always felt that in modern music, some melody is Eastern, some melody is Western, and the best melody is for all mankind. "Bohemian Rhapsody" gave me this feeling. At first, I thought it was because of the addition of opera elements. Later I discovered that the piano part before the opera was like this. Not only the melody, but the lyrics also have cosmic significance. It not only mentions the roots of all life-childhood and motherhood, with a Freudian plot, as well as a Faustian soul reckoning, a war with the self and fatalism. Reconciliation. Because of this, this song has become the homesickness of all mankind. From words to music, a 6-minute mix of heavy metal rock, folk songs, and operas without a chorus, which brought me back to ten in the theater last night. The campus a few years ago became my homesickness. I don’t even remember the names of those karaoke shops or the whereabouts of those fans. BBS eventually disappeared-not only a BBS, but as a form of social existence; but those who sang. The figure and the CD have always been in my memory.

The movie is about Freddie's life, Rami Malek's interpretation can be said to be quite vivid. The filming of this film has received a lot of blessings from the Queen, and the copyrights of the songs in it are provided free of charge. The Live Aid performance in the last twenty minutes is simply the largest cosplay ever produced: from actors to group performances, from drinks on the piano to the wires entwined on the stage, this hymn makes up for the single video recording that year. The angles and blurry pictures have made a live-action version of 3D VR. Human beings are so amazing. The largest band in history is composed of neighbors and classmates close to each other. It often makes people think about why geniuses are concentrated within a few miles. In other words, they achieve each other and they are indispensable. The movie itself is almost a gift from the band to Freddie, and you can see their love for him. I envy their family-like feelings, and at the same time I wonder if China also has a rock music or pop music soil and market, in a place like the rock version of the year, would it make a few great bands.

"You always listen to the songs you listened to when you were thirteen." I was a little late, maybe eighteen. This song gives the whole mankind the meaning of homesickness, and also gives each individual a different meaning of homesickness. For me, it is basically the most precious years in my life that have been circulating in my brain.
