Should a biographical film about a painter be as beautiful as a painting? This movie tells you unceremoniously: it's fucking beautiful. The story tells the second half of the life of Mr. Turner, an English romantic landscape painter. There's a country vibe to the film, but even if it's rustic, it's British - even Mr Turner's breathless, middle-aged wolf-dog swooping down on a supporting actress is full of British vibes. The whole movie has no climax, it is quiet and flat, slightly lengthy, and it is easy to make people yawn and want to turn off. But what keeps you going is the stunning cinematography - as the title says, most of the time, you can pause at any second of the movie and take a screenshot afterwards as a pleasing desktop (yes, including in Mr. Turner's portrait) A picture of a wolf dog pounced on a supporting actress in a panting manner). Literature and art and those who pretend to be literature and art may read it carefully. For most mainstream audiences, it is enough to Baidu first on Mr. Turner's life, and then appreciate the picture.
