Some moments are always sincere

Everyone in this film is incorrigible.

Harry (George Clooney) was unfaithful to his wife. It wasn't that he had a bad feeling. He was such a person. He was addicted to deception, hypocritical to any woman, and could spit out "I love you" hypocritically.

Osbourne (John Malkovich) is an arrogant bastard, as can be seen from the scene where he was fired in the first act. He feels that he is the only smart person in the world, and everyone else is moron, so he feels that he must be fired not because of his alcoholism but political persecution.

Chad (Brad Pitt) is too stupid, that's all, he still loves daydreaming. Obviously, the job of a fitness coach is too boring. He is looking for some excitement, but he doesn't know whether he is courage or wisdom.

Linda (Francis McDormand) is actually not stupid, but the life she wants is a little too different from the life she has. That's why she is so obsessed with plastic surgery. I really hope that she can change her face from then on. How can there be such an easy thing in the world?

Katie (Tilda Swinton) is cold and ruthless. She treats her husband as shit and is cruel to divorce and fight for property. As a children's doctor, she obviously hates children, and she doesn't necessarily have much tenderness for Harry.

These incurable people thought that they knew what they wanted and were busy pursuing them, but they were left empty-handed. Not only that, some even lost their lives. Even if Linda is the only person in it who has achieved her goal-doing cosmetic surgery-she is unlikely to find a man who is not a loser.

Very pitiful. But think about it, isn't the life of most people like this? What are you doing now, really what you want? Or do you think you want it? We will never see clearly ourselves.

It's like Harry thought he was the one who was at ease outside, but he didn't expect that he was also the one who was deceived. Many real romances have staged similar stories.

Fortunately, even so, there are still some moving moments. Even a big liar like Harry took the trouble to make a rocking chair for his wife. When he learned that his wife was going to get divorced, the scene where he smashed the rocking chair with an axe was the most moving moment in this movie. It's sad and ridiculous at the same time, but it's always sincere, at certain moments.
