The inexplicable emotion, the inexplicable anger, and the inexplicable betrayal are all reasonable.
I have forgotten the role of the queen, and even the ending, only the quiet room, the colorful colors, the disorganized scenes, the naked Daniel in the bathtub, the nervous bacon, the leather-clad, jumping from the dormer window. George (of course, in Bacon's eyes, it was an angel who fell into the world), the studio where George was not allowed to enter, the deep love of SM, alas, a big regret.
Think of another movie, Robert Pattinson's "Dalí and His Lover," with such a similar tone and the same feeling.
