General Review: 7.2
inherits all the shortcomings of TSN, but lacks the former's sharp editing and high-quality photography.
The script is still Alon Sorkin's old formula: in order to create a flawed genious, he did not hesitate to put in all the crap material he could find, giving the biopic a lack of credibility. U JUST CANT TAKE THIS BIOGRAPHICAL FILM SERIOUSLY.
The two deepest impressions after reading it: 1. The only people who are extremely narcissistic can fall in love with their own children and love them as their own avatars. 2. Steve Jobs' strong desire to control products and consumers stems from the powerlessness of being abandoned by his biological father in childhood.
Jobs' refusal to acknowledge his dedication to the APPLE2 team would be too weak if it was used to portray Jobs' "betrayal" of his old friends. What we can see here is Jobs' perfectionism and "never looking back" perseverance.
But I enjoyed the movie. I prefer this method of using the "talking" technique to shape the character's image. And thanks to the excellent lines, the rhythm of the film is extremely tight.
Love that swipe left-to-right news montage inside.
