Little Jack must be the angel God sent to save his mother. During the 7 years of imprisonment, it was little Jack that gave his mother the only spiritual support, so that they could rely on each other. It was also the little Jack that rescued his mother twice. Even at the end, it was little Jack who took his mother back to the room that year, and said goodbye there together.
What makes me most sad is that the room is actually the place where Jack grew up when he was young. He grew plants there and numbered the chairs... The room is his planet, in his world. The room is a vast space full of magic, and the TV also has a special status, because it is the only window that can show the outside world. Then every time Jack showed his attachment and nostalgia for the room, his mother was very painful. Because for Jack's mother, the room is a hell, a place of humiliation, a place of imprisonment, a memory that never wants to be opened again. So little Jack gradually understood that his paradise was a torture to his mother during the whole process, and finally returned to the room. When he found that the room was actually just a dilapidated hut, he no longer asked to close the door but Said goodbye to the room. For a 5-year-old child, it's really sad to think about this real world before going out of the fairy tale world and facing such a reality.
And what moved me most was the love of Jack for his mother. When Jack's mother was asked in an interview whether it was the best choice for Jack to keep the newborn Jack by her side instead of outside. His mother fell into a huge guilt and failed to give Jack a normal childhood. So he committed suicide by taking medicine in the bathroom. But then on the phone, Jack only said to his mother: "Come back, come back, I pick both of us!" Jack also said in his monologue, "Mom chose to go to heaven, but forgot to bring me, this is stupid. Mom." She also cut off her hair, which she regarded as a source of strength, and gave it to her mother. It's really touching, and we shed tears.
I think her mother would not be able to last that long without little Jack. Even after she was rescued, she must have suffered a severe mental injury and could not live normally. Fortunately, God sent the little angel Jack to light up a lamp in such a dark room, which can illuminate her life, warm her wounded heart, and open the door of the room.
