The Sunday massacre on January 30, 1972 is just a microcosm of the events in Northern Ireland. The civilians demanded peaceful demonstrations. In the confrontation with the government, a bloody massacre broke out. 13 were killed and 14 wounded. The military had no casualties. Facing this incident, The result of the British side's handling is that the military members involved were rewarded, but the specific internal situation has not been known. Director Paul Greengrass used a hand-held camera to describe the massacre in a documentary film, drawing more attention and sympathy for the Northern Irish independence movement.
