From this cartoon from Chile, I saw the shadow of the 14-year-old animated short "Mr. Hablo". It was the one that defeated the hit "Pony Run" and won the Oscar for the best animated short that year. . There were many people who complained about "Pony Run" back then. In fact, in my opinion, "Pony Run" represents a humor full of feelings and creativity, and "Mr. Hablo" has , it is the warmth with a unique metal texture, there is no difference between the two, the final decision is only the taste and tendency of the judges.
In Bear Tale, we see a lot of similarities.
Diorama's Old Bear is very much like the original heartbreaking old Carl, who sells balloons in "Up", watching it under the soft and beautiful music that seems to be coming from a music box Quietly overhaul the machine, have morning tea, get dressed, and go out. It shows the most ordinary life, but it makes many people full of yearning.
The part of the play within the play is the magical world in the diorama. The director creatively tells us a story about separation and reunion through mechanical transmission and changes. The story itself is not outstanding, but the medium that carries it is the bright spot, which makes people feel relatively fresh.
After seeing the story in the diorama, Little Bear paid the money contentedly and returned to his mother. Watching the two happily walk away, Lao Xiong took out his pocket watch and looked at the photos with his wife and daughter. At this moment, the story in the diorama contrasts with reality, and a sense of warmth arises spontaneously, entering the hearts of every audience: maybe it is telling its own story here, who knows? I just want to tell you that a happy and happy family is more important to me than anything else.
Just like "Mr. Hublow", in fact, it doesn't tell any big truth, it just shows you some simple happiness and brings you the desire to embrace life. I thought of some of Pixar's short films in the past few years, "Luna", "Blue Umbrella Love", etc. In fact, Pixar is already technically perfect, but in the animated shorts, they have no intention of using it to change the world, but to lightly Tell a good story.
As an animated short, I think that's enough.
